About
Hello and welcome! Here is a little about me and a little about what to expect from me . . .
My name is Lucas and I really enjoy a good beer . . . wait, we will get to that in a moment. I grew up in Northern New York with the cold and snow. Then it was on to Syracuse University for even more cold and snow to study architecture. After earning my degree and working in Syracuse for a year or so, I up and moved to Florida with my then girlfriend (now wife) without ever having set foot in the state before. You see what all of that cold and snow can do to a person?
I currently live and work as an architect in Winter Park, Florida (think suburb of Orlando). My wife and I share our house with two big dogs and two pretty big cats that will likely make an appearance in some post(s) along the way.
I take pleasure in trying different beers that I have never seen or sampled before. Similarly to food, I feel that I should at least try something once to see if I like it. I tried many different beers over the years, but often would find myself in a beer aisle forgetting what I had drunk before and more importantly, what I did or did not enjoy. So, earlier this year I began to keep a hand written record of each beer I brought into the house.
This blog was created as a way to keep those records while also sharing that information with anyone else that finds beer as interesting as I do. So my tasting notes and opinions about beer will be the foundation of what you can find here. There will also be some food, some travel, and some random thoughts sprinkled in along the way. Hopefully some of you will find it all enjoyable.
Cheers!
